What is the Trigun Rareship Week?

The Trigun Rareship Week is a week-long event dedicated to celebrating the lesser-known ships/pairings of two or more characters from the Trigun franchise.It is a fan-event and in no way affiliated with the manga author or the teams involved in producing the 98 or Stampede manga series.For a week, members of the fandom will create pieces of art, written fiction or craft representing and celebrating their favourite rareships, based on a set of prompts provided by the mod team beforehand!

What counts as a rarepair/rareship?

Any ship/pairing/couple there isn't much content for, that feels slightly overlooked by the community, or even ones that are not mentioned at all!Examples can be: MillyVash, KnivesWood, VashLegato, MillyMeryl, WolfValley, CrimsonFang, MerylWood, etc.!

Which ships are not allowed as part of the rareship week?

We do not allow popular/well-known ships to be featured as part of the event; ships such as VashWood & VashMeryl receive lots of attention in the fandom, and while they are lovely, the rareship event is specifically set up to celebrate lesser-known/represented couples.Furthermore, incestuous ships such as Plantcest, etc. will not be permitted as part of the event.

What prompts will be present?

This is to be decided! Prompts can be submitted by the community, after the date for the event is chosen!

What kind of work are we allowed to contribute?

The obvious answer are visual artworks(whether digital or traditional) & pieces of fanfiction, but you can show us whichever works you'd like! Write a song, create an embroidery, anything goes!

Are only non-canon ships allowed?

Not at all! While we expect the majority of ships for which contributions will be featured to be non-canon/fanon, we very much appreciate lesser known/represented canon pairings as well!
